Bacteria Release from Microplastics into New Aquatic Environments

چکیده
Microplastics are considered the most common waste in aquatic ecosystems, and studying them along with their interactions biota a priority. Here, results on role of microplastics dispersion microbes from terrestrial to ecosystems presented. Data were obtained microcosm experiments which (plastic bags (BA), polyethylene bottles (BO), acrylic beads (BE), cigarette butts (BU)) attached natural bacterial communities inoculated filtered autoclaved lake water. The abundance was estimated before inoculation using protocol for enumeration sediment bacteria ranged between 1.63 (BA) 203.92 (BE) × 103 cells mm−2. Bacteria released new medium, growth rates reached 5.8 d−1. In communities, Beta- (21.4%) Alphaproteobacteria (18.6%) abundant classes, while free-living Gammaproteobacteria dominated (48.07%). Abundant OTUs (≥1%) associated genera Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas, Ecidovorax, Delftia, Comamonas, Sphingopyxis, Brevundimonas members FCB group. Members these known degrade or man-made organic compounds have recently emerged as opportunistic pathogens. Thus, besides trophic transmission, can directly release environment, could affect health humans, animals, ecosystems.

Isolation of mesotrione-degrading bacteria from aquatic environments in Brazil.
Mesotrione is a benzoylcyclohexane-1,3-dione herbicide that inhibits 4-hydroxyphenyl pyruvate dioxygenase in target plants. Although it has been used since 2000, only a limited number of degrading microorganisms have been reported. Mesotrione-degrading bacteria were selected among strains isolated from Brazilian aquatic environments, located near corn fields treated with this herbicide. Pantoea...
متن کاملIdentification of bacteria from aquatic animals
A wide range of aquatic animal species are cultured for human consumption, the fashion industry, research purposes or re-stocking natural populations. Each host species may be colonised by bacterial saprophytes or infected with pathogens that have specific growth requirements encompassing temperature, salinity, trace elements or ions. To ensure successful culture and identification of potential...
متن کاملAzospirillum Genomes Reveal Transition of Bacteria from Aquatic to Terrestrial Environments
Fossil records indicate that life appeared in marine environments ∼3.5 billion years ago (Gyr) and transitioned to terrestrial ecosystems nearly 2.5 Gyr. Sequence analysis suggests that "hydrobacteria" and "terrabacteria" might have diverged as early as 3 Gyr. Bacteria of the genus Azospirillum are associated with roots of terrestrial plants; however, virtually all their close relatives are aqu...
متن کاملCombined approach for characterization of uncultivated magnetotactic bacteria from various aquatic environments.
Both magnetic collection and "race track" purification techniques were highly effective for selective enrichment of magnetotactic bacteria (MTB) from complex communities, as suggested by amplified ribosomal DNA restriction analysis and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis combined with sequence analysis of 16S rRNA genes. Using these purification methods, the occurrence and diversity of MTB ...
